Recognizing that personal information is important information, Toyobo Engineering Co., Ltd. (“TE”) shall protect such information in accordance with the basic policy described below.

• TE shall obtain personal information via legal and appropriate means and shall not obtain such information via unjust means.
• As a general rule, your personal information shall be used for the purpose of providing you with information about products and services offered by TE and related information or for the purpose of improving products and services offered by TE.
• With regard to the handling of personal information, TE shall put in place necessary and appropriate measures to ensure safe management of personal information such as those to prevent the destruction, leakage, and modification of such information.
• Except with your agreement or where permitted by law, TE shall not provide your personal information to any third party.
• TE shall respond promptly and to the extent it deems reasonable if you make an inquiry regarding your personal information held by TE or request the amendment of such information.
• To ensure that personal information is handled appropriately, TE shall review and improve initiatives related to the above clauses as appropriate.
